Blueberry, Chocolate, Banana, Protein Smoothie
My favorite pre or post (or both) workout protein drink. I burn calories fast. I’ll be done with a big breakfast and less then two hours later I’m starving just before my workout. I’ve experimented with a lot of different energy drinks, protein drinks, and supplements and this is by far my favorite. This smoothie tastes great, gives me a great boost of energy before my workout, and keeps me from feeling empty for the remaining couple hours until lunch.
Toss in a blender:
- 1 cup lowfat chocolate milk
- 1 scoop protein powder. I use whole foods whey protein powder, vanilla flavor. Provides 18 grams of protein per scoop.
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 3 ice cubes
Blend until smooth. That’s it, now hit the gym!
